EcoFest is a naturally fun celebration showcasing green exhibitors and interactive family activities to inspire healthier living and preserving our environment. Gather with family and friends at Park Street and Arbutus Avenue, to learn about environmental awareness at this waste-less event.
Mount Carmel presents the family friendly Bike with Mayor Ike bike tour at 9 a.m., Saturday. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Neighbors are encouraged to ride their bikes to the event. Bicycle parking is available at the secure YayBikes! bike corral.
Try the Heritage Bikes bicycle obstacle course or experience the training and skills our Grove City Police Officers use to become bike patrol officers. Visit with Orbit City Bikes and discover the world of electric bicycles.
In preparation for the first ever COSI Science Festival, COSI President and CEO Dr. Frederic Bertley is presenting the first #COSISTEMStar Award at 11:30 a.m. to a Grove City resident and business owner who has self-engineered and handcrafted a world-renowned creation. Don’t miss it!
The Kids & Art Zone features exciting activities including soccer challenges with Kickmaster Footgolf, face painting by Color Me Happy, rope crafting with Franklin County Southwest Historical Society members, display making from household items with Little Theater Off Broadway, T-shirt painting with the Grove City Arts Council and visiting the Friends of the Library. Pick up a Keep Grove City Beautiful event passport and collect stamps for a free ice cream cone.
The Sustainability Zone spotlights organizations that provide environmental education such as waste control, composting, storm water conservation, rain harvesting and solar installations. Learn about pollinators and how insects and plants help the environment.
The Health and Wellness Zone showcases local businesses demonstrating products, services and wellness programs. Visit the stage at the farmers’ market from 9 to 11 a.m. and learn to make a healthy salad in a jar with Trisha Zelenak of Trish Z Fitness.
A variety of food and merchandise vendors sell healthy living items including homemade soaps, skin-care products, environmentally friendly cleaning products and healthy food and drinks. Support the Grove City Parks and Recreation Youth Sports Scholarship program by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win a bicycle.
